join me for an aperitivo in new york

February 20, 2016 by Elizabeth 15 Comments

Wine Elizabeth Minchilli

Due to overwhelmingly surprising demand, I’ve organized another event in New York. I”m not sure what I was thinking when I invited you to join me for dinner at Porsena, but I certainly didn’t imagine that the event would sell out in 30 minutes. Wow!!! And thank you!!!!

Because I would really like to meet up with  as many of my friends in New York as possible, I’ve managed (with the extremely gracious help of my friend Rolando Beramendi) to organize an Aperitivo on Thursday March 3. I hope you can come!!!

It will be a Roman style Aperitivo Rinforzato – in other words wine to drink, and lots of good things to eat. Rolando’s friends at Vignamaggio Winery have graciously donated the wine for the event (courtesy of Bedford Imports.) so the Chianti Classico will be flowing and Rocco and Stacy Cadonlini  of ROC in Tribeca have devised a delicious array of good things to eat. It will be very casual (in other words very Roman) and I”ll be selling and signing copies of my book Eating Rome: Living the Good Life in the Eternal City (or bring yours along!)

Here are the details:

WHEN: Thursday March 3rd, from 5 to 6:30pm

WHERE: ROC Restaurant, 190-A Duane Street (Corner of Greewich & Duane)

COST: $30 per person, which will include wine and appetizers

(dinner reservations are available after 6:30)

To reserve please call: 212.625.3333 or email [email protected]

I hope you can make it!!!

Good Morning! I purchased a copy of your book last year via Amazon, unfortunately I live in Poland and don’t intend to go to New York by the nearst few years (not even weeks:). But I am cheering up thinking about Rome in May:)
Thank you for your blog that I have followed for 18 months (but all earlier posts were duly read, too:))

Dear Elizabeth, love your books, blog and tastes in restaurants. I really wanted to meet you when you’re in NY but will be in Puerto Rico until mid March. Catch you another time, ideally in Rome. PS you might want to check out Via Carota on Grove St in Greenwich Village!
