This year the city of Rome strung up a rainbow along Via del Corso. They first announced it was in solidarity with gay rights. Then, amid protest from the far right, they back tracked and said it was in support of Peace. Or Nelson Mandela. Or something.
I figure a rainbow can be anything you want it to be.
I fell in love with it and walked beneath it’s shimmering brilliance as often as possible.
I also took out my camera while Domenico took me for a spin on the back of his motorino. Those bumps in the video? And the lack of consistent speed? That would be potholes and traffic. Just like being there yourself, right?
I wish you were.
